Turkey

This Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) activity took place in Turkey, with the participation of teachers and students from all partner organizations, as well as local administrative staff, teachers, and students. The topic of the LTT was “Digitalization and Culture & World.”

Content and Methodology:

Day 1: After a warm welcome, an ice-breaking activity was carried out with all project participants. The Portuguese partner presented the “Digital Education Action Plan” (DEAP), and the Slovakian partner presented “Digital Competence 2.1” (DigComp2.1). The Erasmus+ team had a tour of the school and visited various workshops to talk to teachers and students. Later, the participants visited historical and cultural places in Akyaka.

Day 2: The Slovakian partner presented “Using Artificial Intelligence for Recycling,” and all teams participated in a “Practical Cycling of Electronic Devices” workshop in the ICT workshop to learn about e-waste pollution, develop critical thinking skills, and improve their sensitivity to nature. Participants had the opportunity to create new devices from previously prepared electronic waste materials. Later, all participants visited historical and cultural places in Marmaris.

Day 3: The coordinator presented “Carbon Footprint,” “Calculation,” and “Methods for Reducing.” All partners presented “Effects of Digitalisation on Culture: Common and Different Points of Countries.” It was important to understand the effects of digitalization on different cultures and to recognize social, ethnic, linguistic, and cultural diversity. The Erasmus+ team participated in a “Visualisation & Designing 3D of an Archaeological Area” workshop led by the Czech partner in the ICT workshop. Later, all participants visited the Ancient Area and Akbük.

Day 4: All teams participated in the “Visualization of Archaeological Cultural Heritage” activity. They took photos and used 3D software to redesign them, based on the “Visualization & Designing 3D of an Archaeological Area” activity. Later, they visited Kaunos Rock Graves and Ancient City in Dalyan.

Day 5: The teams visited the old city of Muğla and related organizations. The team leaders prepared a participants list and wrote a Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) Report for the mobility program. The coordinator organization organized a certificate ceremony with the attendance of all the teams. After the activities, dissemination plans, sustainability, budget, and time management were discussed and evaluated. An evaluation meeting was held and “Participant Observation and Satisfaction” forms were filled out by everyone.

Results: The participants:

  • Increased their awareness about DEAP/Digcomp2.1 and the effects of digitalization on culture, nature, and society.
  • Realized the advantages of digitalization.
  • Enhanced their group study and critical thinking skills, and gained a better understanding of social, ethnic, linguistic, and cultural diversity.
  • Learned about using ICT in different fields.
